The ability to leverage HKA’s strong brand in the construction space and reputation for exceptional expert witnesses to accelerate career development and connections.The Opportunity: HKA regional head quarters in Saudi has an exciting opportunity for a quantity surveyor or engineer looking to move into a claims consultancy or those that are already experienced, speak to us and find out more. You will be working on prestigious projects and cases as part of a team of quantum consultants collaborating with our other multi disciplinary teams and supporting Experts on their appointments. Role & Responsibilities:Support our Senior Consultants with analysis, monitoring and processing of incoming and outgoing claims, requests for additional work, and the associated response required.Assessment of project delays and quantification of associated prolongation and/or disruption costs in the context of delay and disruption claimsIdentify events and supporting evidence to help prove liability of either the employer or the contractor.Act as support for the preparation of commercial negotiation strategies.Prepare evidence to counteract claims made by contractors.Working as part of a team to prepare counterclaims.We welcome applications from candidates with the following background:A back ground of working as an Engineer, Project Planner or Quantity Surveyor.5+ years’ experience with at least 3 years being project based.A naturally curious and analytical mindset.A keen interest in making a move to a Construction Claims Consultancy.Previous involvement with claims would be beneficial but not essential.Either already holds a secondary legal qualification or has an interest in doing so.
