Finance Manager

As a Finance Manager specializing in Dealership Management System (DMS) implementation, you will play a crucial role in assisting the organization in establishing an efficient and effective DMS. You will be responsible for overseeing the finance-related aspects of the implementation process, ensuring smooth integration and providing ongoing support to optimize the system's functionality. This role requires deep knowledge of financial processes and systems within the automotive industry, as well as strong project management and communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, sales, and finance, to define project scope, objectives, and timelines related to DMS implementation.
• Conduct thorough assessments of existing financial systems and processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Work closely with the DMS implementation team to develop and document financial requirements, including a chart of accounts, general ledger structure, inventory management, accounting procedures, and reporting capabilities.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors or consultants to ensure successful integration of the DMS into existing financial systems and processes.
• Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to finance and accounting staff throughout the implementation process, ensuring a smooth transition while minimizing disruptions to daily operations.
• Develop and deliver training programs for finance and accounting personnel on DMS functionality, ensuring that all users have the requisite knowledge and skills to utilize the system effectively.
• Evaluate and monitor the performance of the DMS post-implementation, identifying opportunities for optimization and recommending enhancements or modifications as necessary.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to automotive finance, keeping the organization informed about emerging technologies and potential advancements in DMS capabilities.
• Collaborate with senior management to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the DMS, generating regular reports on system utilization and performance.

Qualifications: 
 

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance or any related field.
• Proven experience (10+ years) in finance or accounting roles within the automotive industry, with a deep understanding of dealership operations and financial processes.
• Familiarity with various DMS platforms used in the automotive industry, such as CDK Global, Reynolds and Reynolds, Dealertrack, or similar systems.
• Exceptional project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and deliver projects on schedule.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Experience in providing training and support to end-users of financial systems.
• In-depth knowledge of financial reporting requirements, compliance standards, and regulatory guidelines within the automotive industry.
• Proficiency in financial software systems, spreadsheet software, and databases.
