The Custom Clearance Manager supports the organization in establishing the operational standards to deliver on-time performance at an optimized cost and zero tolerance in respect to timely clearance and processing of all related transactions with high compliance levels through the specific government service platforms. This position is also responsible for supporting the Head of Operations in delivering the commercial targets and planned outcomes.


Job Tasks & Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement customs procedures/work instructions (standardized).
  • Translates business needs and priorities into actionable custom strategies.
  • Ensures to complete all regulatory reporting to government entities as required.
  • Develop and implement the most effective procedures and routes for shipments.
  • Communicates with shipping lines, dispatchers, warehouses, and clients regarding custom regulations and other relevant government requirements/regulations.
  • Negotiates prices, terms of sale, and service agreements, in coordination with the Supply Chain Director.
  • Align company's internal compliance department & internal legal associates on any issues arising, in coordination with Supply Chain Director.
  • Provides support to Custom Clearance Team in problem resolutions (i.e., helping to analyze and providing suggestions on resolving customs clearance issues and complaints).
  • Ensures customers receive their products/materials in a timely manner and good condition.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate customs with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
  • Manages, coaches, and develops a high-performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value, and continuous improvements.
  • Ensures that all functions under supervision operate in accordance with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff.
  • Directing, optimizing and coordinating full order cycle
  • Liaising and negotiating with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers
  • Organizing and monitoring storage and distribution of goods.
  • Manage the entire order cycle to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction.
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  • Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments.
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints, in coordination with Supply Chain Director.
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Comply with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.
  • Arrange insurance coverage for goods.
  • Conduct the required inspection & checks

  1. Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
