Role Purpose

We are searching for an experienced real estate attorney to represent Oxagon. The role requires all manner of real estate, land and property related expertise. Leadership skills, strong technical expertise, flexibility and expert relationship management will be critical for the successful applicant.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

Business Advisory

• Build relationships with the business to become a trusted advisor
• Work effectively with outside counsel, serving as the primary internal liaison on real estate and hotel matters
• Provide relevant expertise and assurance to relevant teams on drafting and negotiating contracts and providing legal advisory support on various requirements
• Analyze and communicate legal advice with respect to any real estate and hotels related queries
• Advise on environmental law, planning, corporate structuring, investment management and disputes, as required

Legal Support

• Support the Legal & Compliance Department function by taking the lead on real estate and hotels transactions and the related documents, reviews and discussions
• Engage in drafting and negotiating various types of agreements and ancillary documents
• Assist and support others within the legal department by providing advice, training and/or guidance
• Provide other legal services and advice to the company as needed

BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Extensive proven experience managing large and complex real estate and hotels transactions
• Knowledge of real estate finance, portfolio management and hospitality
• Experience in real estate development throughout all its phases: planning, execution and post-completion, including developments with significant retail, commercial, industrial and hotel components
• Experience with real estate purchase and sale agreements, mortgage documents, title documents, lease arrangements, including commercial and retail leasing and sale and lease back transactions, project structuring, land development, acquisition and disposals of real estate
• Knowledge of environmental, planning and land-use requirements
• Excellent drafting and negotiation with strong commercial acumen
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to influence and collaborate with members of the legal team and business partners
• Strong analytical skills, solutions oriented and with a practical approach
• Self-directed with strong initiative, organizational skills, and ability to work well under pressure
• Flexibility, creativity and ability to adapt to changing needs

Qualifications

• Relevant technical expertise and law firm or in-house experience
• +6 to +12 years PQE
• Superior academic credentials with a law degree from a leading university and/or law school
• Willingness to be based in NEOM community
