Managing Director - Satellite Imagery JV

Candidates lacking experience in Remote Sensing, Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), Aerospace Engineering, or Satellite Imagery analysis will be considered ineligible.

Our client provides actionable intelligence by analyzing satellite imagery data with advanced statistics, machine learning, and industry expertise. Their solutions serve a broad spectrum of sectors including economic analysis, defense & intelligence, environment & ESG, construction & real estate, energy & commodities, and custom solutions.

They are seeking a dynamic Managing Director to lead their new joint venture based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will spearhead the establishment and growth of our client's operational and business development teams to sell and support the venture's innovative services in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish the joint venture's operational headquarters in Riyadh, aligning with the venture's strategic vision and objectives.
• Lead business development efforts to identify and capitalize on market opportunities within the targeted sectors.
• Build and manage a high-performing team to support business operations, sales, and customer service.
• Foster strong relationships with local stakeholders, partners, and clients to enhance market presence and service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and business practices, maintaining the venture's reputation for integrity and innovation.
• Develop and implement a strategic business plan to achieve growth targets and expand the venture's footprint in the region.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Remote Sensing, Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), Aerospace Engineering, or related fields. Or Bachelors or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in GIS, remote sensing, or related technologies (e.g., GISP, ASPRS certification).
• Proven leadership experience in a similar role, preferably within the technology, satellite imagery, or related sectors.
• Strong business acumen with a track record of successful business development and operational management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Extensive experience in the satellite imagery or aerospace industry, with a deep understanding of satellite data applications and market needs.
• Proven track record in managing technology-driven projects, particularly those involving satellite imagery analysis and application development.
• Experience in negotiating and managing partnerships with satellite data providers and technology partners.
• Familiarity with the latest trends and technologies in the space and satellite industry, including AI and machine learning applications in satellite imagery.
• Knowledge of the Saudi Arabian market and regulatory environment, with existing networks in relevant industries.
