Project Manager - Digital Transformation
Job Description
Purpose of the Job:
Responsible for planning, executing, and delivering of Digital manufacturing Projects to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiencies and reduce waste. Digital factory projects include MES, QMS, LIMS (Manufacturing Execution System, Quality Management System and Laboratory Information Management System).
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end Digital Factory Project Management lifecycle, from project initiation to delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, quality standards and deliverables.
Work closely with all stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria, and develop the project timelines and schedules.
Manage project resources effectively, including budget allocation, staffing, and procurement of necessary tools and technologies.
Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively, and implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, IT, automation engineers, data scientists and analysts, manufacturing process experts and supply chain specialists, to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Communicate project status, progress, and key milestones to stakeholders, including senior management, department heads and factory managers.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging digital technologies to optimize manufacturing processes, increase productivity, and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, and conduct testing and validation activities to ensure the quality and reliability of digital solutions.
Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in digital manufacturing and recommend innovative solutions to improve factory operations.
Ensure efficient and paperless digital manufacturing processes, focusing on “doing more with less”.
Skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree in a plus.
Proven experience in project management, preferably in an FMCG manufacturing site, with a track record of successfully delivering complex digital projects on time and within budget.
Extensive experience in Automation Systems and deep knowledge of the automation pyramid levels and integration.
Strong understanding of digital technologies and their applications in manufacturing, including IoT, automation, artificial intelligence, and data analytics.
Deep knowledge of manufacturing execution systems and ERP systems.
Familiar with scheduling, multi-layer work orders management, inventory management, OEE and downtime tracking, SOPs and Process Management.
Familiar with Quality and Laboratory Management Systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.
Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies is desirable.
