AtkinsRéalishas an exciting full-time career opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 15 years’ experience. Candidates having relevant project experience with HVDC, power systems, transmission & distribution lines, substations, and power stations are preferred. The role is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities
Working in collaboration with the project team to prepare the following deliverables / provide the following services (non-exhaustive list):
Reviewing plans and preparing quantity requirements.
Reviewing contractor's work progress invoices and certification.
Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
Liaising with the design team, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and other documents.
Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.
Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders and advising them on improvements and new strategies.
Ensure interdisciplinary coordination.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, or similar.
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, in post-contract activities, with a focus on cost planning and estimation of EHV Transmission projects or HVDC projects. Also, related to power systems, transmission & distribution lines, HVDC, substations, and power station projects.
Construction estimating or finance experience is advantageous.
Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical capabilities with a focus on achieving results.
Team player with great interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Client-focused, highly autonomous, and able to work under pressure.
Comprehensive understanding of power system fundamentals.
Knowledge or experience in HVDC, FACTS, or HV Cables, an asset.
Proficiency in the following (or similar) software tools, an asset: AUTOCAD, ETAP, Primavera P6
Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
Great networking abilities. Fluency in English language, both spoken and written. Additional languages will be considered an asset.
