A leading Logistics and Supply Chain Corporates in the MEA region.

Job Title: Welder.

Job Classification: Operational Service Support.

Job Purpose:

The position is responsible for providing welding repairs and support to the service function. The position reports directly to the Regional Service Manager.

Job Accountabilities:

• Welding Repairs: Diagnose basic faults and recommend welding repair solutions upon consultation with the Service Supervisor. Use the best welding techniques and materials to get the desired results according to the supplier's standard specifications.

• Compliance with Service Policies and Procedures: Ensure that all work is carried out following company occupational health and safety regulations and with relevant environmental standards. Follow company uniform (dressing code) and safety gear at all times. Carry out repairs as per industry and supplier-prescribed standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area and workshop floor.

• Welding Skills Development: Have a minimum required understanding of necessary machine systems. Acquire external certifications as required by the suppliers. Compliance with Technician Career Development Plan (TCDP).

• Utilization / Productivity / Efficiency: Carry out repairs to equipment in the minimum possible time and the minimum number of trips to customers' sites and alternatively within the company workshop.

• Maximum compliance to best industry and supplier-prescribed troubleshooting standards.

• Level of training to ensure that skills match or exceed the technical standards required.

Key Requirements:

• Good Command of Spoken and written English Skills.

• Technical Diploma.

• 2 3 years of experience in heavy machines.

• Knowledge of the Schematics and the diagrams of the heavy machines.

• Able to speak/write English as per supplier requirements (they will be trained in Germany).

• Knowledge of the welding process for machinery.

• Able to define and explain GMAW / MMA process.

• Workers (welder, fitter) must show a valid Welding Certificate acc. ISO 9606-1 for high-strength steels (S690QL/S890QL) or any other relevant valid certificate that needs to be verified by Schwing.

Work Conditions:

• Working Days: 6

• Off Days: 1

• Working Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM.
