Why the companies overlook the strength of persons during selection and they just concentrate on the domain expertise?

Most of the selections just happens considering similar experience. To my mind with such selections the creativity is being reduced drastically. To my mind hiring a capable person even from different domain can bring lot of new ideas to business. What is your say !!!!

I totally agree with you, Praveen.
Hiring an able caliber from a different domain has proven very useful to business.
Today's business faces a lot of challenges with a very fast pace and thinking outside the box is most needed.
