Soft Skills are those needed when dealing with the people and their emotions. 

Being skilled at computers and troubleshooting is an essential part of working in IT, but if you plan on truly excelling in the field, it's vital to have a combination of hard and soft skills. 

When you're responsible for helping employees with computer, network, software, or website issues all day, it's crucial that you know how to resolve issues.Working in the IT field requires constant human interaction. It's important to know how to interact and communicate well with others at all levels of the organization.While working in the technology field you'll quickly pick up a language that applies only to the work that you do — one that, unfortunately, those outside of your field won't understand.It is important to keep a positive attitude while addressing problems (no matter how ridiculous they may be), being a good listener, and showing empathy. You'll also need to be able to defuse heated situations that can arise among frustrated employees or staff.Working in IT requires you to be comfortable with speaking to large groups of people.

If you're capable of staying calm in frustrating situations or can handle answering the same questions over and over again, you'll have no problem succeeding in the IT field.

I would say that soft skills, like communication, empathy, teamwork and negotiation are almost more important than technical skills, especially in leadership or executive roles. Information Technology  would lead to apply the soft skills to be better  and  able to build the personal capabilities to deal with team work groups and clients by supporting effective communication , negotiation and accurate data systems support the performance of the organization and overall the business in link with the society and markets.

Soft skills are very important in IT. A lot of people ignore them, don't study and don't apply themselves to make progress in that area and then they wonder why they don't advance in the company.

Soft skills are icing on the cake, it helps you to understand and resolve issues. As we gain experience, our interaction with important stakeholders increases and soft skill comes first followed by our technical abilities and experience.

Soft skills are what makes employees different from each others. The skill of speking more than a Language, of people management, of self control and self motivation are some of the soft skills that can really make a difference in an employee lifespan inside the company and lead him to a better understanding of the work environment and people's expectations in general (customers , coworkers, management...).
