HR may refer to the generally accepted principles and guidelines in maintaining harmonious relation of persons with each other.As a dept in an organization or agency,this may refer to the unit which in charge of setting and upgrading the qualifications of employees and in maintaining a conducive and equitable  working environment.

Human Resource refer to the indivisuals or personnel or workforce within an organization responsible for performing the tasks given to them for the purpose of achievement of goals and objectives of the organization which is possible only through recruitment and selection, providing proper orientation an induction, training, skill developments, proper assesment of employees (performance appraisal), providing approprate compensation and benefits, maintaining proper labor relations and ultimately maintaining safety, welfare and health concern of employees, which is process of the human resource management.

HR is not a one man show, its combined efforts, by all in company, with due professional guidance and supervision. It enhance inter-work relations and add up performance of all connected.
