How does an ERP system record user interaction and create a trail of user activity?

Every user access is a logged activity visible in log files in each system which is collated at a central log, capturing machine IP and MAC address of hardware. 

The information accessed , information pages and views will be available on temporary files as a string of data

Every transaction or activity is monitored and stored by the system which can be accessed by master data administrator or any allocated user as per the security and access manual. The transactions are recorded against each user id which is a unique identification for all users to keep track of the activity being performed by specific users. Logs are being maintained for all activities.
