Why Direct On line starter is installed with induction motor in most of large industries?

Direct on line starters are the simplest in terms of design and provides a maximum starting torque  and would also be suitable in a stiff system which by definition means a system that can tolerate the transient voltage dips caused by the magnifient inrush currents ( 6  to 7times plus IEC Tolerance )
