The right kind of articulation which will not only attract the audience but also makes them click on it but also keep them engaged.
It should be simple, short, easy to read and clear
A little bit of pun or wit helps, besides giving the main idea of the story.
It should be simple in wording but weird in content; e.g., Man bites dog
or "Fox guarding the chicken coop"!
In addition to being short and attractive, the title should make readers curious. In a sense, it should be about something that is not ordinary yet that is not too strange to make readers alienated (it is credible). In addition, a title is mostly attractive when it appeals to the emotions, intellect, concerns, etc. of readers. Hence, writing good titles involves a kind of an audience analysis (age, gender, clicking preferences etc.) so that you start to know what attracts your particular readers.
Simple but mysterious; to make the reader want to know more.
Single Tricky Word, could be good way to attrect but need a lot of care before placing as heading..
