Engineer, Product Configuration

We are looking for enthusiastic and talented engineers to join us as as “Product Configuration Engineer” within Process Engineering Department. The role is based in Sasalı, İzmir.

The main function of a Product Configuration Engineer is to manage product BOM data via PLM & Oracle softwares by ensuring the correct entry of product structure, manhour routing and cycle time count. Following all engineering change items is the other main responsibility of this role.  

What will be your contributions:

• Uses PLM software to conduct product configuration & engineering change management.
• Support local organization related with PLM, Oracle software usage. Organize monthly orientation trainings for newcomers to the local organization. 
• Prepares reports related with engineering change management performance of all stakeholder departments and change owners. 
• Be representative of Engineering Change Management for Customer / Internal Audits such as VDA / IMS.
• Manages customer & internal engineering changes via PLM software. Ensures change requests are processed properly. Organizes internal meetings with all stakeholders to assess and follow the requests. 
• Prepares/Updates Product Configuration Engineering team internal documents; work procedures, risk assessment, scorecard etc.
•  Attend global product configuration team meetings to be aligned with TPI global organization related with change management.
• Uses Oracle software for BOM management as interface in between engineering & other stakeholder departments for product execution.
• Ensures proper data transfer in between PLM & Oracle. Take responsibility of all software related issues by contacting with global support teams.
• Works close with Project Management & Production Planning teams to follow customer orders; new versions in accordance with process specifications, products in existing production plan. Follow production plan dashboards. 
• Creates / Updates product configuration; skeleton & BOM structure, manhour routing entry and cycle time count. 
• Ensures Finance Department costing approval for the new product variant.
• Prepares documentation for Financial Audits related with BOM processes; ensures proper process flow for Product documentation & approval. Prepare evidence documentation for audit. 

What will be decisive:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required
• Min 2 years’ experience in Change Management / BOM Management / Product Configuration
• Proficient user of PLM and Oracle Softwares
• Having knowledge of BOM, understanding complex BOM structure
• Knowledge & experience in Wind blade industry will be a plus
• Good command of MS Office applications & High level of computer literacy 
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
• Able to demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills with multi-disciplinary audiences
• Team player and high attention to detail
• Self-motivation and prioritization
• Advanced English language skills (written and spoken)
