Job Description


The Logistics Specialist manages daily operations in Turkey, mainly in the Istanbul Distribution Center. They coordinate with 3PL, freight forwarders, brokers, customer care and other internal stakeholders for smooth product delivery. Responsibilities include inbound/outbound shipping, inventory control, and import/export compliance, handled in cooperation with 3PL's and import/export compliance team. The specialist collaborates on proposals, trend identification, and process improvements with sales and operations teams. The position may interact directly with customers in dealing with escalations, queries, and complaints, to ensure prompt and adequate resolution. 


This position reports to the EMEA Logistics Manager 


Responsibilities:  


  • Oversee logistics performance to ensure efficiency and effectiveness 
  • Take charge of shipping, receiving quality, and compliance with Export-Import regulations 
  • Monitor and manage inventory quality metrics 
  • Collaborate with 3PLs to achieve objectives outlined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA) 
  • Track, analyze, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 
  • Investigate and resolve customer/supplier complaints in collaboration with 3PLs 
  • Serve as the first line of logistics escalation within the country 
  • Build effective business relationships with both internal and external customers 
  • Foster strong partnerships with 3PLs to enhance collaboration and efficiency 
  • Uphold a high level of operational excellence across all logistics activities 

Expectations: 


  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, or equivalent through experience and courses 
  • Minimum 3 Years’ experience in an international supply chain environment (preferred in material management) 
  • Knowledge about supply chain cost drivers and Import/Export Compliance legislation in Turkey 
  • Working knowledge about physical distribution and transportation 
  • Good working knowledge of SAP is preferred 
  • Fully fluent in English and Turkish language (verbal and written), 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, working knowledge of other MS Office Programs. 
  • Track Record in project management and process improvement. 
  • Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt certification is a preference 
  • APICS CPIM Certification is a preference
