Site Manager - Mechanical

To supervise and coordinate the activities of the mechanical works and workers as assigned, recognize and meet the project specifications and ensure strict compliance with the time-frame, budget costs, technical, safety and quality standards

OBJECTIVES

• Implement all mechanical works during execution stage 

  
  

• Supervise technicians, site supervisors, workers and subcontractors

  
  

• Follow assignement’s deadline

  
  

TECHNICAL

• Supervise all mechanical installation work ensuring strict compliance with the agreed timescale, technical, safety and quality standards

• Provide the agreed work schedule, communicates it to staff and advises of changes

  
  

• Organize and assigns work to teams on construction site

  
  

• Optimize costs and deadlines

  
  

• Ensure a good work-flow on site

  
  

• Identify and solves problems and raise them with senior management, if necessary

  
  

• Assist with the preparation of overall work schedules, bill of materials, plant inspections, plant commissioning, troubleshooting and final handover; Follow up with local suppliers and vendors as necessary to ensure delivery of plant and equipment as per work schedule

  
  

• Cooperate with the Project Manager establish and carry out procedures for inspection and control of material and execution of the mechanical works 

  
  

• Monitor site supervisors timekeeping, job performance and provide  input to performance appraisals. Assist, guide and counsel them as necessary

  
  

• Participate in training and development activities of site supervisors as necessary

  
  

• Anticipate and use initiative to resolve problems while constantly updating the Project Engineer regarding mechanical aspects of the project

  
  

• Promote Company Quality Policy ensuring employees recognize customer needs and do what is expected of them -" first time and every time”. Carries out any other duties related to his area of expertise as assigned by the Project Manager or his designee

  
  

SAFETY

• Ensure and instruct workers during installation to comply with company health and safety procedures and standards.

  
  

QUALITY

• Apply the Quality procedures for operations bound to their activity.

  
  

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• BA in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

  
  

• 5 to 7 years of experience in similar role
