Medsien is a venture-backed healthcare SaaS company experiencing rapid growth and looking to expand our team. We are seeking an organized, motivated, and passionate Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team of talented and inspiring developers in a fast-paced environment.
As a SDET, you'll work closely with engineering teams and Product Managers. We're looking for a candidate who is passionate and a great team player, who will join a growing team in developing products that enable providers to provide high-quality services to their patients.
This is a fully remote position based in Istanbul.
As a SDET, you will:
- Collaborate with Engineering during product introduction to create and develop test plans and automated test sequences or scripts for testing products,
- Collaborate with Engineering and external third-party integrators on production and development to ensure good functional test coverage and reproducible results,
- Ensure every feature developed by the team is tested,
- Blend automated and manual testing to efficiently cover the system’s functionality without compromising quality,
- Strive to automate and maintain comprehensive test suites with a continuous improvement mindset,
- Work with the technology team to run tests after deployment in production environments to ensure quality,
- Create, manage, and utilize defect workflows with automated testing,
- Know the product vision and work closely with designers and the product owner to translate their vision into tests,
- Partner with development teams to identify key areas of risk in new solutions
- Participate in building Scrum processes and agile culture within the company.
Please apply if you have:
- 5+ years of SDET experience,
- In depth understanding of QA methodologies, processes, tools, and technologies,
- Having worked in a dynamic, agile environment with minimal supervision,
- Being able to understand and manage your own infrastructure to rule out environmental false positives,
- Ability to quickly grasp functional changes and come up with a corresponding set of test cases,
- An ability to find hidden requirements, edge cases, and a “desire to break” attitude,
- Significant experience as an exploratory or hands-on tester in multiple platforms and testing techniques,
- Experience with manual acceptance testing at the story level and exploratory and creative testing within fast-paced sprint cycles,

- Experience implementing automated end-to-end tests,
- Experience with frameworks and tools such as BDD and Selenium and the ability to code in JavaScript,
- Strong organizational skills, tracking multiple test executions simultaneously, and an ability to synthesize results,
- Strong understanding of Python programming language fundamentals,
- Extensive experience in writing and executing test cases using Pytest for unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing,
- Develop and maintain end-to-end test automation frameworks using Playwright to ensure the quality and reliability of our web applications,
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code in TypeScript,
- Proficiency in version control systems such as Git,
- A creative and driven mindset with experience navigating through ambiguity and a desire to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment,
- A desire to learn and try new approaches/ ideas and stretch boundaries,
- Experience with Django, Ruby on Rails or similar web development frameworks is a big plus,
- Extreme problem solving skills,
- Superb communication skills,
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, or a related field of study,
- Perfect English skills; both written and oral,
