Talent and Learning & Development Manager



An exciting opportunity has arisen within Solenis for a Talent and Learning & Development Manager to support the talent review processes and learning & development of professionals and the leadership population across the globe to drive the growth culture at Solenis. The ideal candidate will be passionate about talent management and development, with a proven track record of designing and implementing effective learning programs aligned with the company’s DE&I strategy, that drive and enable a high performance, high growth culture globally.


As Talent and Learning & Development Manager you will be responsible for managing, expanding, and suggesting improvements in the curriculum of learning and development offerings and take active role in designing and implementing the talent management processes that address the needs of the organization. This includes participation in the selection and management of vendors, training programs, and other tools. You will establish a steady rhythm of instructor led programs at Solenis’ large sites and deliver such programs when necessary.


Roles and responsibilities:



  • Work closely with Global Talent, Learning&Development Director in developing and implementing talent management-development strategies and programs aligned with the company’s global business strategies and objectives.
  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders to understand talent and learning needs for the business; and develop program solutions to support the business talent and leadership.
  • Take active role in leading the successful design, development, implementation, and delivery of L&D programs that align to global strategies.
  • Work closely with regional HRBPs to ensure that global talent and development processes and plans are established and implemented in the region.
  • Ensure Human Resources team members are proactively informed and trained on program/plan rollouts to ensure successful implementation. 
  • Continuously promote awareness of learning and development offerings.
  • Communicate with employees at all levels to answer questions about training, as well as external vendors.
  • Maintaining budgets and relationships with vendors and consultants
  • Conduct internal sessions, focus group discussions of the Leadership Journeys and other trainings sessions according to the needs.
  • Take active role in facilitation of the Solenis training programs.

 Qualifications/Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university required.
  • 5 years of experience in working in talent processes and L&D initiatives.
  • Minimum of 7 years of combined HR and business preferred.
  • Expert and experienced in the development, administration, and evaluation of talent programs and vendors, exhibiting knowledge of program principles and practices.
  • Global experience in large and complex industrial organizations both in L&D and talent management area highly desirable
  • Ability to be agile and flexible in a dynamic, growth culture.
  • Proven ability to improve program design and related processes. 
  • Good knowledge of best practices in talent management, project management and/or change management methodologies.
  • Comfortable with presenting and to different levels within the organization
  • Strong written and oral and presentation communication skills in English
  • Advanced experience and capability using related program systems and tools.
  • Ability to understand business objectives and the strategic implications for talent.
  • Excellent project management skills and a demonstrated ability to manage and execute on multiple assignments and timelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and influence change across businesses, functions, geographies, and levels with a global and customer-focused mindset.
  • Adept at driving new ideas and changing direction quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly developed critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Facilitation skills highly desirable
