Job Description
A Cloud Architect designs and implements cloud solutions for an organization and ensuring the smooth functioning of cloud systems with minimal downtime. The job holders are expected to evaluate and select cloud providers, establish best practices for cloud adoption, and work with IT teams to monitor cloud privacy and address technical issues.
Job Description:
- Creating a well-informed cloud strategy and managing the adaptation process.
- Evaluating cloud applications, hardware, and software.
- Developing and organizing cloud systems.
- Working closely with IT security to monitor the company’s cloud privacy.
- Responding to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Offering guidance in infrastructure movement techniques, including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
- Identifying the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the needs of the company
- Providing architectural expertise in the digital and patient solution space (e.g., Internet of Things, cloud, mobile and analytics).
- Developing solution architecture framework to provide exemplary pre-sales technical expertise through technical leadership, consistent communication, and on-going technical consultation.
- Acting as a senior technical advisor and strategist to pre-sales and sales leadership in your region.
- Leveraging personal network to open doors to develop new opportunities.
- Developing security transformation plans that include maturity assessments, proposals and business case ROI.
- Acting as a technical liaison between customer, pre-sales and Product Managers regarding integrated and vertically-specific solutions.
- Working with regional marketing to develop executive and technical engagement plans that may include facilitated roundtables, conference speaking engagements or webinars.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience to craft and develop Cloud solutions, translating business requirements into scalable, flexible, and secure cloud architectures2.
- 4 or more years’ experience in implementing DevOps strategy2.
- 4 or more years’ experience using cloud-based hosting solutions (GCP, AWS, Azure, VMware, Openstack).
- Engaging with CISOs and security executives.
Desired Certifications:
- The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF): This certification provides a high-level approach to design, planning, implementation, and governance of an enterprise IT architecture1.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): This certification validates that you have the skills needed to run a highly efficient and modern data center, with expertise in cloud technologies, identity management, systems management, virtualization, storage, and networking.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect: This certification validates your ability to design and deploy well-architected systems on AWS that meet customer requirements.
- Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect: This certification validates your ability to design, develop, and manage a secure, scalable, and reliable cloud architecture using Google Cloud Platform technologies.
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert: This certification validates your expertise in compute, network, storage, and security to design solutions that run on Azure
