Job Description
The role of the Demand Planning Executive is critical to the organization's success in meeting customer demand while optimizing inventory levels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing data, forecasting, and collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate demand plans and inventory levels.
1. Develop and maintain demand planning processes, including statistical modeling, forecasting, and analysis to predict future demand.
2. Analyze historical sales data and market trends to create accurate demand forecasts for existing and new products.
3. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product management teams to gather input and insights for demand forecasting.
4. Monitor inventory levels analyze demand forecast accuracy and make adjustments as necessary to improve overall forecast quality.
5. Identify and communicate with customer service teams of principal entities to identify inventory risks and opportunities and plan mitigation
6. Contribute to the development of optimal stock models and planning processes to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
7. Drive continuous improvement in demand planning processes and tools to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of forecasts.
8. Stay informed about industry best practices and market trends to ensure the demand planning process remains up-to-date and effective.
9. Provide regular reports and insights to management regarding demand planning performance and key metrics.
10) Lead demand planning activities for new product introductions, collaborating with product development, marketing, and sales teams to develop launch plans and ensure seamless integration into existing demand forecasts.
11) Identify potential demand risks such as market fluctuations, supplier issues, or regulatory changes, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on supply chain operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
1. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, statistics, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
2. Proven experience in demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
3. Solid understanding of statistical forecasting models and demand planning best practices.
4. Proficiency in demand planning software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and trends effectively.
6. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
7. Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
8. Knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, and inventory control principles.
9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
