Production Manager

Position: Production Manager (Heavy Steel Fabrication)

Job Description:

As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing our workshop operations, overseeing the fabrication of heavy steel components for multiple projects. Your role will be critical in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality products to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Workshop Management: Lead and supervise all activities in the workshop, including fabrication, welding, and assembly, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
2. Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules, allocating resources effectively to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.
3. Project Management: Coordinate with project managers to understand project specifications and timelines, ensuring seamless integration of workshop activities with project milestones.
4. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of fabricated components, conducting inspections and implementing corrective actions as needed.
5. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and consumables, optimizing stock levels to support production requirements while minimizing wastage.
6. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to workshop staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
7. Vendor Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to procure materials and services required for production, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery.
8. Cost Management: Monitor production costs and expenses, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
9. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits and promoting a safe working environment for all staff.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 10 years of experience in heavy steel fabrication, with a strong background in workshop management and production.
2. Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
3. Strong technical knowledge of steel fabrication processes, including welding techniques, machining, and assembly.
4. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
5. Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or a related field is preferred.
6. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
7. Experience working in Abu Dhabi or the UAE market is an advantage.
