Amazon's Social Responsibility program drives customer trust, business continuity, and sustainable social impact by embedding respect for human rights and the environment throughout Amazon’s entire value chain. We implement company-wide standards and commitments such as our Global Human Rights Principles (GHRP) and Supply Chain Standards (SCS). We seek to continuously improve the tools and processes used in integrating human rights and environmental due diligence across the business.
We are looking for a Program Manager to oversee, improve, inspect, and provide subject matter expertise to interpret supplier and vendor performance against Amazon's Supply Chain Standards.
This Program Manager will work to improve Worldwide Social Responsibility (WWSR's) ability to evaluate social responsibility performance and enable us to continuously raise the bar for our partners, which range from third-party product manufacturers to third-party services providers supporting our global operations.
You will manage annual updates of internal tools, including but not limited to engaging with business teams and third-party audit firms, facilitating reviews and discussions, and driving operational implementation of the updates.
This individual will provide guidance and decisions pertaining to the risk interpretation of supplier compliance data.
As the subject matter expert, you will be responsible for conducting gap analyses on our internal tools, making judgement calls when uncertainty arises, and helping stakeholders to understand how Amazon’s Supply Chain Standards are applied.
Key job responsibilities
- Create and implement workflows and mechanisms for ingesting cases from new intake channels for social responsibility escalations
- Manage incoming cases systematically, create solutions for complex escalations and proactively implement processes to resolve negative service trends
- Succinctly convey complex problems in easy to digest terms for all stakeholders
- Proactively work with cross functional internal teams (e.g., Policy, Product, and business teams) to enhance and evolve WWSR program to drive measurable improvements on process efficiency and effectiveness
- Acts as a change agent by influencing targeted supplier management behavior to improve protection for workers

Dubai, ARE
- 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information
- 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
- Experience with SQL and Excel
