Job Description
• Coordinate with the Customer Service Staff and/or Reception team regarding the schedule or appointment to assist patients for any preparation prior to visit to the facility for Consultation, relevant procedures, treatment and/or follow – up.
• Provide Primary Health Care and Nursing Care to patients in accordance with Aspen Medical Primary Healthcare Centre’s scope of practice, policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
• Implement authorized and/or approved health promotion activities in coordination with the Nursing Manager and/or Head of Department.
• Assist with patient referral process to other healthcare professional and/or healthcare facilities when required.
• Performs proper and complete patient triage as per the established required standards needed for consultation, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Promote a caring environment where equality and diversity issues are respected, and clients and their careers are empowered as active partners in healthcare decision making.
• Safely utilize the clinical/medical equipment relevant to patient care.
• Deliver a quality and safe nursing services or care to patients in accordance with the authorized doctors request along with providing proper explanations on the relevant procedures, treatment, and patients inquiries to gain patient’s cooperation and trust.
• Ensure to protect patients and other members of healthcare team by adhering to infection prevention and control policies and protocols and relevant safety protections.
• Assist patients in any diagnostic, clinical and/or nursing procedures as per the doctors’ instructions.
• Ensure that the patients received health education as part of the patient care process.
• Responsible to completely document and record the nursing care and/or services provided to the patients.
• Ensure to obtain patient general consent and maintain the privacy and confidentiality of patient health information record.
• Notify the Nursing Manager for any health and safety problems which puts patient at risk.
• Assist the Infection Control Officer and other relevant health and safety designee and committees in the implementation and monitoring of the Occupational Health and Safety Program.
• Maintains required technical and professional knowledge and competency by attending or participate in educational workshops and/or continuous In–Service Training Program relevant to the designated role.
• Operate within the context of the Nursing Department Plan in designated role, or in other roles as directed by Head of Department.
• Carry out or directly supervise contingency plans in the event of an accident or incident.
• Responsible to ensure the operation and safety of the clinical/medical equipment under the scope of responsibilities by adherence with the preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions on its usage, handling, troubleshooting, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, etc.
• Monitoring and inventory of all clinical/medical consumables and/or supplies as per the schedule and submit list to Nursing Manager for purchasing requests to maintain proper and required supply levels.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with the facility procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Assist with the designated Emergency Response team with respect to medical emergency response and evacuation and ensure to have knowledge and skills to perform BLS and/or ACLS, PALS[CA1][CA2] as directed by Emergency Team if deemed necessary.
