Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a high-performing team of cybersecurity analysts and
specialists.
Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with internal and external
stakeholders.
Ensure the team follows incident response plans and procedures effectively.
Lead and manage the technical aspects of security operations, including
incident detection, analysis, and response.
Conduct digital forensics to analyse and understand the root causes of
incidents.
Oversee and optimise security technologies, such as SIEM (Security Information
and Event Management), IDS/IPS, EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), and
firewall solutions.
Conduct regular assessments of security tools and technologies, implementing
improvements as needed.
Establish and monitor performance metrics for the security operations team.
Provide regular reports on team performance, incident trends, and key
performance indicators to executive leadership.
Conduct regular reviews of team processes and procedures, identifying
opportunities for improvement.
Implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the
security operations team.
Identify and address skill gaps within the team through targeted training
initiatives.
Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development to team members.
Serve as the primary point of contact for client engagements related to
security operations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their
security requirements and concerns.
