ROLE SUMMARY
The Digital Solutions Manager partners with Therapy Area heads and process leads in GCC to establish and execute a strategic Digital roadmap that realizes business goals and objectives in a matrix organization environment.
What you’ll do
Partners with business stakeholders in respective Therapy Areas (franchise heads, marketing heads, brand managers, medical leads, sales teams) as an embedded team member to translate business needs and opportunities into digital solutions and capabilities that generates business outcomes Drives digital health innovation agenda for the respective therapy areas; explores solutions, pilots with lean start up mindset and facilitate decisions for scaling Co-drives improvement of HCP engagement with a strong focus on omnichannel agenda Map outs (defines, creates) the annual digital roadmap (new digital capabilities, timelines, budget), aligns with Business Leads and execute upon a strategic Digital roadmap which realizes goals and objectives in a matrix organization in line with digital governance framework Works with global, international and area Digital/IT teams to shape local demand and assess proposed solutions in alignment with digital/IT strategic direction, policies and standards Creates project plans, identifies & structures problems/challenges, leads cross-functional teams’ problem-solving efforts by using subject matter expertise in the Digital / Business Solutions area Leads end to end project management including planning, analysis, build/development phase (in partnership with vendors and/or AZ Digital/IT teams), testing, piloting/validating, release/deploy/ go-live Facilitates digital progress review meetings, provides visibility on the digital roadmap execution to ensure all stakeholders are aware and up to date on the overall project progress, achievements, risks and issues Drives the alignment of new digital platforms and solutions that are cascaded from global, international or area teams, leads or supports local deployment of global or international digital projects for respective TAs Monitors the utilization of digital solutions/platforms; identifies and raises issues; provides guidance to business leads and stakeholders to maximize adoption and utilization Constantly looks for better ways of solving problems, investigates and suggests alternative solutions and challenges the status quo for continuous improvements Establishes and maintain a strong relationship with IT vendors; Partners with internal stakeholders (legal, procurement etc.) to execute contracting processes in the form of Statement of Work (SoW)

Essential for the role
Minimum a Bachelor’s degree STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or a related field 7-10 years of work experience in a similar role and experienced with working in Digital Technology department as a Digital partner Prior work experience in pharma industry with strong business acumen and preferably cross industrial experience Prior experience in managing and implementing end to end projects with a strong expertise in digital technologies Experienced in delivering solutions with vendors, managing vendors, planning and managing budget Preferred prior experience in design thinking, lean startup mindset and delivering solutions in Agile/Scrum approach

I spend most of my time looking at statistical methods for clinical trials, including many innovations, and discuss that with a lot of the other statisticians, clinicians, and other team members across AstraZeneca, and really enjoy applying new methods and to make faster clinical trials. So I spend a lot of time doing that.
