Key Roles & Responsibilities
• Develop sales strategy for the special equipment segment that includes EPCs and Global Freight Forwarders.
• Manage the special equipment and project segment by developing products in scope.
• Manage sales activities in the Liner team within the UAE in order to achieve the sales volume and revenue targets.
• Identify and develop a strong customer base for project cargo with the focus on the Asian Middle Eastern markets
• Manage the coordination of special equipment to ensure all technical aspects and requirements of the business are met.
• Ensure that the special equipment is not idling in any location and immediate action is taken by moving it out as exports.
• Work closely with the equipment team to ensure that sufficient inventory is planned for the existing cargo (both short & long term) to ensure maximum rotation of the equipment profitability.
• Oversee the development of the new products to e-commerce.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction levels are maintained with proactive communication and manage customer relationships.
• Work in a structed manner which includes preparation of weekly/monthly sales pre-call plans/weekly sales reports and monthly reports on actuals
• Ensure expansion of project cargo beyond the existing territory in a structured manner with clear objectives regionally and results measured on a monthly basis.
• Monitor key competitor activities in a special project equipment segment with full competitor profiles updated monthly and use the data to improve sales.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Education & Professional Qualification:
- Diploma in the maritime trade or marketing
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
Professional Experience:
- 4 - 6 years of relevant experience of shipping experience in a commercial role
Geographic Experience:
- Good knowledge of Asia and Gulf markets
Computer Skills:
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and web applications
Language Skills:
- Business fluent English
Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of special equipment and sales function
