The role of the Content and Digital Media Lead is to design, manage and lead an integrated content strategy in line with the corporate communications strategy of APICORP. He/she should be able to design the content, write, edit, and publish be-spoke content for a variety of channels, both internal and external, both digital and offline. The candidate should possess good knowledge of campaign-based approach and is able to craft messages that support the objectives of the business.
He/She will also manage all the digital channels including but not limited to website, social media, microsites, and other channels, and must be able to work in collaboration within the various members of the communications team, and across the internal company stakeholders matrix.
Principle Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
· Work closely with the Director of Communications and Sustainability to build a be-spoke content and digital planning to meet specific and measurable KPIs based on business needs.
· Ability to proactively contribute new ideas to enhance the communications operations across the value chain
Content Development
· Proven experience in writing compelling stories that reflect the brand and business values and communicate across multiple channels.
· Excellent writing skills in English and Arabic is a must.
· Ability to edit content against a tight deadline.
· Ability to understand various writing styles for various channels, digital and offline.
· Ability to generate content that is found in online searches and incorporates SEO best practices and guidelines.
Digital, Website and SEO Strategy
· Ability to manage and update the SEO strategy based on input form the web hosting agency, full technical understanding of SEO is not required.
· Ability to update the website, when required, using CMS platforms, mainly WordPress.
