Summary of Role:
1. Guide and support Cluster to meet all regional, national and international accreditation.
2. Leads, develops efficient approach and supports accreditation of all PHCs and hospitals.
3. Partners with leadership and all staff to ensure quality approach to regulatory and accreditation matters.
4. Develop accreditation and regulatory affairs staff capability to meet future requirements.


Main Responsibilities:
The Executive Director, Accreditation and Regulatory Affairs will be responsible for the delivery of the following:

1. Support and work with all Health Networks to ensure accreditation and maintenance of accreditation.
2. Develop & implement strategy & annual plan for accreditation.
3. Lead development of E1 Cluster Accreditation approach with CBAHI and JCI and other as appropriate.
4. Ensure that all policies and procedures implemented at facilities are in line with national and international regulations.
5. Assess MoH regulations and reporting requirements and provide required information.
6. Ensure compliance with all national regulations, bylaws, standards & legislation.
7. Partners with quality, patient safety, clinical and non-clinical leaders to ensure integrated approach to quality.
8. Manage, support, and develop the skill and competencies of the staff reporting to this role
9. Responsible for the document control function of the cluster; including but not limited to; development, review, and publication of all cluster policies & other documents
10. Ensures internal / external communications to promote and ensure accreditation.
11. Promotes and facilitates a multidisciplinary approach to quality and safety.
12. Supports and advises the CEO, C-Suite, and Health Networks CEOs on accreditation and regulation matters.
13. Other projects and tasks as agreed by the Chief Quality Affairs.
14. Oversees and monitors policies and procedures that support the highest standards.
15. Maintains confidentiality relating to all matters dealt. Uses great discretion at all times and ensure that no confidential material is released to unauthorized members of staff.
16. Follows all related policies and procedures. Participates in emergency and disaster procedures. Performs other duties within the realm of his/her knowledge and ability as required.
