Time
The UAE is 4 hours ahead of the Universal Coordinated Time- UCT (or GMT previously. Daylight saving system is not applicable in the UAE.

The electricity supply in Abu Dhabi is 220/240 volts and 50 cycles. The UK originated three pin plug is widely used and adaptors are available for quite affordable prices.
Weather Overview
During the months of April to September, temperatures can soar to above 40 °C with unpredictable sandstorms rolling in to where you can barely see across the street. Use of a good quality sunscreen is vital as well as drinking enough fluids and replacing salt loss. Winter months on the other hand are fair in the mid to late 20s with frequent heavy rainfall.
