Founded in 1927 by brothers Conrad and Marcel Schlumberger, our company was the first to use electrical resistance measurement to help petroleum companies locate underground oil reservoirs. Our ability to maximize the world's available supply of natural resources stems directly from the scientific and technological advances we have initiated.
