About Young Muslim Women's Association Centre for Special Education

The Centre for Special Education, established in 1974 is one of several projects run by the Young Women’s Muslim Association (YMWA) which was founded in 1972 and headed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sarvath El-Hassan. The Centre for Special Education is a day school providing education and vocational training for moderately mentally challenged students starting at birth up to the age of twenty five years. The Centre has four main sections: Early Intervention, Pre-school, School and Vocational Training units. A student's training period could go up to 15 years as he /she work their way up through the different sections at the Centre.
