GO (Etihad Atheeb Telecom) got approval for it’s license from the Communication and Information Technology Commission (CITC) on 2/5/1428 to provide advanced fixed line services in the Kingdom. GO is an alliance comprising of Atheeb Trading Company, Al-Nahla Trading Company, Batelco of Bahrain, and Traco Company with a capital of 1 billion Saudi Riyals. The Founding Shareholders’ reputable profiles and experience give us the advantage of building our business in KSA with a thorough understanding of the needs of the different market segments, advanced business operations and network infrastructure. This knowledge ensures a firm foundation for the successful implementation of the Company’s strategy.
GO Company also acquired a 3.5GHz frequency spectrum across 13 regional divisions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia valued at 520 million Saudi Riyals in addition to a license for advanced fixed telephone lines amounting up to 5 million Saudi Riyals.
The license acquired by the Company permits us to provide various fixed and wireless services such as voice telephone communications, data services, Internet services, Internet telephony services, and Broadband internet services via 4G technology, fixed telephone lines, and optical fibers to homes and businesses; in addition to video services, all of which will be available as we launch our operations in the field of telecommunications in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2009.
We will also draw on the experience of our Shareholders amongst them Batelco, whose specialised services cover the full spectrum of telecommunication solutions for residential as well as business customers. Batelco has a solid reputation for its high standards of customer service and its innovative products and services.
