The job holder is responsible for carrying out a physical or manual stock count across locations, on a daily basis ensuring 3 cycle counts per annum for all branches, with support from Storekeepers to ensure stock quantities entered in the system precisely match physical quantities.
Operations:Selects bin range in Autoline to generate stock count sheet and initiate physical count
Checks stock items manually to verify a match between stock quantities in the system and those physically present in the warehouse locations.
Prints evaluation report to hand over to Line Manager as required
Files quantity checklists to maintain records for future reference
Training and Development:
Undergoes on the job training to develop in areas such as parts identification, double checking of items, establishing discrepancies ( in the absence of the line manager) and Auto line issues
Attends weekly meetings with managers and team members to provide updates, discuss and resolve issues.
The job holder is responsible for accomplishing 3 wall to-wall stock checks on a yearly basis across all locations. In this regard, the challenges posed are:
1) identify discrepancies and establish the background associated with them i.e. wrong bin location, incorrect issuance of part, human error and if it is a system error, justify to the IT department
2) Huge stock checks
3) Continuous counting of fast moving items.
