To prepare a realistic and competitive estimate of the cost of labour and material required for handling the project, in order to enable the management to evaluate the economic viability and decide upon the participation in the tender.
Compile all tender bids, ensure it is complete in all aspects of pricing, submission and check all estimating and tendering aspects relevant to the project implementation in the region. Ensure a summary of the job is prepared, including cost of labor, material, quantity and quality of the material required strictly as per the specification of the client to ensure that they are as per the prescribed parameters. Assist the Estimating Manager during post tender negotiation / clarification with clients so as to arrive at a tangible decision on tenders with a view to obtain the job with maximum markups and profits. Update construction cost database to order and track purchased materials, labor and supplies needed for projects and monitors, reviews and oversees contracts submitting bids that determine cost and stated duration of project. Updates unit Rates, material cost databases, labor and construction equipment rates to keep them current & prepares construction estimates for Job Change Notices (JCN).
