Astra Industries (also known as AIG) operates as an industrial conglomerate/holding company in Saudi Arabia, managing independent Subsidiary Companies that operate within various segments such as Pharmaceuticals, Specialty Chemicals, Steel Industries, etc. It develops, manufactures, markets and distributes branded generic and licensed pharmaceutical products in the areas of CNS, cardiovascular, anti-infectives, respiratory, and muscular skeletal system. The company also produces polymer compounds, plastic additives, color concentrates, and other plastic products; compounded fertilizers and other agro-chemicals, as well as public health chemicals; pre-engineered steel buildings and steel structures; and steel pallets, billets, and rebars for use in the construction industry. In addition, it is involved in the wholesale and retail trading of fertilizers, forages, and insecticides, as well as the execution of agricultural contracting projects. Further, the company is engaged in the exploration of ores and minerals; and metal based construction of industrial buildings and building frames.
