Bab.nimnim derives from Arabic – ‘bab’ meaning door and ‘nimnim’ meaning small detailed trinkets. The door is the threshold between the interior space and the exterior space which was especially true in our Arabian region as the door was usually the only openning on the facade of any house or building, concealing its interior from outsiders. A continuation to the door is in its detail, fashioned in the region’s indigenous architecture with intricate cravings and ornate studs. Our approach to design is pragmatic and methodical, done through an analysis of the needs of the project at hand via multiple references resulting in a totalitarian rendition. Seeking and aiming to create tangible designs for the interior and exterior space providing an experience through modern and contemporary materials and environments. Aesthetics are also integral to our design methods, where pattern, material, color and geometry all work together seamlessly making a wonderfully juicy cohesive relation from exterior to interior.
