With the three business units, i.e. Corrugated Packaging, Folding Cartons, and Liquid Packaging, BCG has become a dominant player in the region in both the Industrial and Consumer packaging segments. Under the Specialty Chemicals Division, BIG’s regional joint venture with Henkel KGaA in the Industrial and Consumer adhesives covers the Middle East region. Today, after 10 years of inception, this joint venture successfully maintains its market leadership with the two manufacturing units located in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) and Cairo (Egypt) and various distribution centers serving the whole Middle Eastern markets. Apart from the Adhesives business, and as part of its diversification within synergy, BIG recently expanded its activities in the Specialty Chemicals sector by establishing a regional JV in the Flavors business with DRAGOCO GmbH, one of the leading international Flavors & Fragrances companies.
