About Berlitz - United Arab Emirates

Berlitz was founded in 1878. Having more than 126 years of experience and having attracted over 41 million students, the Berlitz Method has successfully proven to be very effective in language training. At Berlitz we teach all languages for all ages starting from six years old onwards. Since the inception of Berlitz UAE in 1998, we have taught the following languages in at least one of our branches: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Beirut, or Bahrain: English, Arabic, Frasi, French, Spanish, Dutch, German, Italian, Urdu, Japanese, Russian, Portuguese. Although English remains the most demanded worldwide, Arabic is getting more pupular especially now that the world is focusing on the Middle East. Many students study languages because it helps them improve their status, jobs, education, for social reasons, relocation, leisure or travel, for personal enrichment or just for fun. Why do they come to us? They know that we make a difference. They come mainly to benefit from a proven experience and to be able to build bridges and communicate in a new language. How do we teach and what do they gain? A big part of effective language learning relies on the approach. We teach using the Berlitz Method: basically an interactive method that focuses on all language skills: reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, idioms, culture tips, as well as pronunciation. In addition to mastering all language skills, Berlitz students gain a self confidence in presentations as well as other business skills that would reinforce their daily business lives. Our instructors are university graduates, they speak the target language perfectly: naturally - it is their mother tongue. They have also received special intensive training in the Berlitz Method. Our Instructional Supervisors monitor teaching high quality standards and provide ongoing training as improvements in techniques are developed.
