BISR was established in 1979. It is a not for profit school with 1500 students and 122 teachers from 15 different nationalities. The school is a member of the Council of International schools and The British Schools of the Middle East. Approximately 55% of the students are British passport holders the rest come from 55 different countries. The school has an excellent reputation and is considered by many as a ‘flagship’ within international schools in the region.
