The Egyptian Drilling Company is Egypt's Largest drilling Contractor providing high quality drilling & work over services on shore & off shore .Operating a rig fleet of more than 60 units, EDC is today the largest oil & gas service provider in the middle east, with operations in Syria & Saudi Arabia, in addition to the operations in Egypt. EDC has a long proven record of high quality performance, which has been acquired through experience, dedicated & highly trained personnel, excellent safety record, advanced computer system & top quality equipment EDC was found in 1976 as joint venture between the Egyptian general petroleum corporation (EGPC) & the A. P. Moller Group of Denmark. EGPC & A.P. Moller have acted since the company's inception as equal partners in ownership they combined strengths of both parent companies have contributed to EDC's rise to become the Middle East leader within drilling in oil & gas.
