GCAA is a Federal Autonomous Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates. The Authority functions as a ‘Regulatory body’ as well as the ‘Service provider’, which controls the Flight Information Region (FIR) of the United Arab Emirates. The major activities of the Authority are Air Navigation / Traffic Management (Air Traffic Control) and regulate and control the issue of professional licenses for aviation personnel.
