(ixier) was initiated a few years ago under Health Outreach & Business Affairs (HOBA) at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSH & RC) with the concept of building a network between private and governmental hospitals as well as healthcare suppliers and a platform to connect different physicians in the country. ixier.com portal was the first set of products initiated in the year 2000; it was the first health portal in the region. Followed by a web enabled transcription services, that was implemented in both KFSH&RC and KFNGH in Riyadh. Early 2003 multi national consortium of business men jointly ventured to form the first focused e-Health and Health Informatics Company in the region.
