About M Ezzat Jallad and Fils

M. Ezzat Jallad & Fils was first established as a commission house in 1873 by Ezzat Jallad. Later on, the late Rafik and Mounir Jallad, sons of Ezzat, joined the business, and M. Ezzat Jallad & Fils soon developed into an import/export organization for agricultural, industrial, and construction equipment. In 1929, they acquired the Caterpillar Dealership for Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan. Franchise for other world-known products related to Cat’s line of business soon followed. Since then, M. Ezzat Jallad & Fils has contributed alot to the growth and development of the area, providing a high standard of after sales service under extremely difficult conditions and at a time when skilled mechanics and technical facilities were virtually non-existent. In order to consolidate that base for further development, the company continues to recruit and train qualified engineers, technical specialists and mechanics. This maintains the supplied equipment at its first-class operating condition. Changes in the political structure of the Middle East over the past years have prompted M. Ezzat Jallad & Fils to re-organize into several separate companies: In 1945, M. Ezzat Jallad S.A. (Syria) was formed with limited liability. In 1953, Jordan Tractor & Equipment Co. Ltd was established. Finally, 1995 witnessed the birth of Palestinian Tractor & Equipment Co. Ltd. Today, the Jallad Group organization distributes agricultural, industrial, construction and earthmoving equipment to national and international companies based in Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, and the Palestinian Authority. The Jallad Group also distributes equipment to other consortia working on construction projects in the Middle East.
