The details regarding our institution are as follows:- Prathima Institute of Medical Sciences is an upcoming medical college situated about 160kms from Hyderabad, and about 6 kms From the Karimnagar, the district headquarters of Karimnagar district. It is a 2 hour drive from Hyderabad. It has been planned as a 350 bedded hospital in its first phase, of which a 100 beds, including the ICCU, the SICU, and the AMC (Acute medical care) unit, along with four operation theatres are already functional. The MCI as well as the NTR Varsity of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, have already approved the medical college. Classes for first year MBBS course has already commenced from 17th October this year. Prathima Institute of Medical Sciences is being promoted by the Prathima group, which already has interests in real estate, educational institutions, power plants, software development, securities, film production, etc. The hospital is adequately equipped for the present. The in-patient services were started in February, 2002, and the response has been encouraging. We are still in the development stage – however the potential for growth is promising.
