    JUBAIL TECHNICAL INSTITUTE Position Description Technical Instructor JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY • The purpose of this position is to train post-secondary students in Industrial skills (millwright), and support them to successfully pursue their technical studies at JTI, leading to the attainment of diploma inTechnical Skills. PRIMARY OBJECTIVES 1.Teach a load of twenty hours of beginner and advanced classes, execute lesson plans and manage classrooms effectively. 2.Develop the skills of students in the areas of specific skill and safety. 3.Train students in effective interpersonal and communication skills, and emphasize work-related skills needed for career success after graduation. 4.Monitor academic development of individual students and provide additional assistance to them in the areas they struggle with. 5.Motivate students and help them recognize the direct correlation between academic attainment and career success after graduation. 6.Oversee workshop activities and report workshop needs to the training Program Coordinator. 7.Ensure safety in the workshop. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS 1- Within the Institute, the Instructor will Be accountable to the Program Coordinator. 2- Work with the Program Coordinator and colleagues to maintain, evaluate and improve technical/academic standards. 3- Maintain collaborative working relationships with colleagues and open communication with students. 4- Work cooperatively with administrative and support staff of the institute. INSTRUCTOR PERSON SPECIFICATIONS 1- High level of competence in technical skill and related technical knowledge. 2- Minimum of a bachelor degree in respective engineering or related field. 3- Fluency and accuracy with the English language both written/spoken. 4- Proven experience in teaching and classroom management. 5- Proven experience in communicating effectively with students. 6- Proven experience in working both autonomously and as a member of a team. 7- Proven experience in planning and executing work assignments unsupervised. 8- Computer literacy especially in MS Office Suite. • All positions require at least two years field experience and three years teaching experience at minimum college level or post secondary vocational institute. Saudis with exceptional academic background will be preferred.
