    SABB Internal Audit (INA) is responsible for audits of all SABB activities, reporting to the SABB Audit Committee. The job-holder plans, conducts and monitors comprehensive evaluation of internal controls, asset quality and operational efficiency. He/she is also expected to provide guidance and consultancy to Senior Management on request, in order to achieve qualitative improvement in Banking operations and risk management. The jobholder contributes to the development of the Internal Audit strategy and ensures execution of an independent, cost effective and efficient internal audit service to specific lines/businesses of the bank’s operations and gives the Senior Management and Chief Internal Auditor a fair and objective assessment of control and risk levels in SABB. Major Function: Under the guidance of Deputy Chief Internal Auditor, the job holder is required to direct and manage a team of audit executives in planning and executing a variety of audits across different functions. The objective of these audits is to provide the Board assurance that entities adhere to and comply with the procedures laid down in Instructions Manuals (SASM/SABB Standard Manual/ SABB FIMs), Operational Circulars, Procedure Manuals/Guides, the guidelines and requirements of CMA and SAMA, Banking Laws of KSA and the External Auditors' requirements. The jobholder maintains close contact with management and takes a proactive approach in dealing with all issues. As a leader the jobholder is fully responsible for the quality and completeness of all team members' work. Maturity and tact are required as the jobholder will often have to lead teams in difficult staffing situations. Qualities/abilities necessarily comprise strong operational knowledge, good IT/bank systems' awareness, a control and analytical oriental approach, good communication skills, tact in dealing with auditors, awareness of credit assessment and structuring. The jobholder should possess the experience and maturity to deal properly with senior management, and possess a good knowledge of Operating and Control procedures.
