About SABIS® Educational Services

SABIS® is an organization that manages schools worldwide. In the year 2007-2008, approximately 40,000 students were enrolled in SABIS® schools. The distinguishing mark of these schools is their implementation of the SABIS® Educational System, a unique system that offers a rigorous, internationally oriented, college-preparatory curriculum for students aged 3 to 18+ focusing primarily on the core subjects of English, Mathematics, Sciences, and World Languages. The first school in what has since become the SABIS® School Network was the International School of Choueifat. It was founded in 1886 in the village of Choueifat, a suburb of Beirut, Lebanon. Now, the SABIS® School Network consists of 50 Member and Associate Member schools that operate in the private and public sectors. These schools all implement the SABIS® Educational System, although each of them remains financially and administratively independent.Although the mother school started in 1886 in Lebanon, ISC Amman opened its doors in September 1997 in Amman- Jordan on a campus of approximately 90,000 square meters. The education program serves both Jordanian and multi-national communities providing education for 3-18 year old. The purpose-built school offers world standard educational facilities. These include main classroom buildings quipped with computer and science laboratories, art room and a main sports center with indoor heated semi-Olympic pool, gymnasium and full size basketball court. The outside sports facilities include a new artificial playing field, 400 meter athletics track and basketball court. The KG department is a separate section with classroom buildings, a large playground heated pool and car track.
