Saudi International Petrochemical Company (SIPC) is a newly established Saudi Joint Stock Company with a fully paid-up capital of SR500 million (US$133 million). SIPC will initially participate in the formation of three limited liability companies, in joint venture with foreign partners, to produce and market maleic anhydride (MAN) and butanediol (BDO), methanol and acetic acid in Jubail Industrial City, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The main objective of the company is the setting up of petrochemical, chemical and other hydrocarbon based industries, using local resources, infrastructure and expertise wherever possible. SIPC aim is to grow into a major petrochemical manufacturer within ten years. By serving market in the Gulf and internationally through carefully chosen partnerships, SIPC will apply world class technology and marketing to a achieve superior products and quality of service and will remain one of the leading Middle East based industrial enterprises in strategically selected businesses.
