Our purpose is to build mutually beneficial relationships between people in the UK and other countries and to increase appreciation of the UK's ideas and achievements. The British Council connects people worldwide with learning opportunities and creative ideas from the UK and builds lasting relationships between the UK and other countries. The British Council is the UK's principal cultural relations agency. Our offices in Saudi Arabia promote UK education and training, and educational reform; teach English; provide information about the UK and access to UK information resources; encourage academic and professional collaboration; manage scholarships for higher study and research in UK; promote and manage UK examinations.
